Barcode are mainly two types such as linear barcode and two dimensional barcode.
Linear barcode: A barcode that encode data in one dimension. In this data encoded in the width of bars and spaces, no data encoded in the length of bar. The most common UPC and EAN barcode symbol found on many retail products are linear barcodes. To identify the start and end of barcode, a special guard paten is used to indicate the scanner that the barcode start and also identify what type of symbology used. Some linear barcode symbology also add check digit at end of data. This check digit is used to verify that interpreted data has been read correctly.
The commonly used linear barcode are following:
UPC: This is one dimension barcode that is often seen by people on many types of barcode products. They are mainly used in retail and food service industry. UPC has fixed length of twelve digits and its use number only.
Code 39: They are used in inventory tracking and manufacturing industries They have variable length zero to nine. This code can set at a length that fits the specific requirement of any kind of application. They include numbers, upper case letter and few special symbols like dollar.
Code 128: They are used in shipping and packaging mainly. it uses the least amount of space of all one dimension type of barcode. They are perfect for squeezing a lot of information onto shipping labels.

2D barcode labels: A Barcode that encode data in 2 dimensions including horizontally as well as vertically. 2d barcode has ability to hold more information in lesser place. These barcode are smaller and denser. 2d barcode also called quick response barcode because they enable fast data access. 2d barcode can often used with conjunction of mobile phone. They are easily read by phone camera equipped with barcode reader.

Aztec, Code16K, Data Matrix, MaxiCode, PDF 417, Micro PDF417, QRCode
Step1:
Download and Install DRPU barcode software on your system. Click on run and open barcode software in new window. Now use designing view of DRPU barcode software for creating customized product labels.
Select linear barcode like code 39 font and enter barcode value
Set barcode dimension including header, footer, text, background, height, width etc with advance size and font setting as per your requirement.
Change printing setting of barcode according to your needs. Now your barcode labels are printed and ready for labeling on product tags.
